To maintain the element of surprise, you can opt not to receive email notifications or Text Messaging Gift Alerts every time a gift is purchased off your registry by simply logging in to your account and hovering over the SETTINGS tab from the top of the page. From there select Notifications & Options then deselect the Text and Email options. Your changes to this section will be saved automatically. You can also tap the checkbox to "Hide what’s been purchased".
